MEP Engineer(On-site in Santa Teresa) (Barranquilla)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced On-site MEP Engineer to support the ongoing construction of a luxury project in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. This is a fully onsite role requiring relocation to a local village within the Ceará region. You will report directly to the MEP Design Manager, and work within a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with architects, interior designers, structural engineers, procurement teams, and client representatives to ensure the highest standards of project delivery. - Provide technical support and guidance to in-house design and QS teams, third-party designers, consultants, and contractors throughout the design process.
- Assist in reviewing and evaluating Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing designs to ensure full compliance with bespoke project requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and managers to optimize the integration of MEP systems within high-end architectural designs.
- Resolve technical issues and challenges in a timely manner during the design phase to maintain project momentum.
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations specifically related to luxury-grade Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing systems.
- Assist in managing, controlling, and tracking changes and variations in accordance with corporate procedures and luxury standards. Requirements Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Management. Experience & Skills:
- Professional Background: Minimum of 3 years of on-site construction experience specifically in Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing systems.
- Sector Expertise: Proven experience working on high-end residential or hospitality projects.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in designed softwares(AutoCAD,Revit)
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required for communication with our international-based management team and some site teams.
- Soft Skills: You must be detail-oriented, self-organized, punctual, and possess excellent presentation skills. Nice to Have:
- Experience working in hot tropical climates or the Caribbean.
- Experience with international hotel chains (e.g., W, Four Seasons, AMAN) and their specific corporate design guidelines. Benefits
