About the Role The Track & Trace Specialist – Afterhours is a key member of the SSG Operations team, responsible for monitoring shipments in transit and ensuring timely communication with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders during afterhours operations. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor or Dispatch Manager, this role plays a vital part in maintaining visibility, resolving issues in real time, and ensuring loads move according to schedule outside of standard business hours. You will be directly involved in tracking shipments, communicating updates, identifying delays or service issues, and ensuring the Transportation Management System (TMS) reflects accurate and up-to-date shipment information that supports operational performance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Monitor active loads during afterhours to ensure on-time pickup, transit, and delivery performance.
- Track shipments through the TMS, GPS tracking tools, and direct communication with drivers.
- Conduct a high volume of outbound and inbound calls with drivers to confirm location updates, delays, or operational issues.
