This isn't a typical role posting. Compound Ventures is a PE-backed US venture studio. Our founder has personally directed roughly $200M in paid media spend over his career. We operate a portfolio of AI-powered companies across real estate, finance, healthcare, and more — and we're building out a digital services agency under the Compound Ventures umbrella to serve portfolio companies and, for the first time, external clients across the United States and, eventually, beyond. We're hiring our first dedicated full-time outbound business development closer in Barranquilla. You will be calling US-based small and mid-sized businesses and closing them on digital services: paid media management (PPC, Google, Meta, etc), SEO, GEO/AEO, web design and landing page optimization, CRM implementation and monetization, and AI automation. This is a real hire for the right person. If you've actually done this — closed digital advertising or digital services retainers to US SMBs via outbound — we want to talk. Must be FLUENT in english and have a neutral US accent. What we're looking for A proven outbound sales operator who has personally closed digital marketing services deals into US small and mid-sized businesses. This means:
- You've made outbound calls to US-based SMBs (cold calls and calls from warm leads from digital customer acquisition funnel, not Colombia-based clients) and converted them to paying clients
- You've sold digital advertising or digital services specifically — paid media management, SEO, GEO/AEO, web design, CRM set up and monetization, AI automation — not adjacent services
- You can walk us through your vigente playbook: lead sources, dial volume, opening lines, objection handling, average deal size, sales cycle length, and your monthly close volume
- Native or near-native English with a clean phone presence — your US prospects must hear you as a credible professional voice, not a call center Non-negotiable: You must have a documented track record of closing digital services deals to US SMBs. We will verify with references which we will request after the initial interview. If you haven't done this exact work, do not apply. Compensation $800-$1,000 USD/month base salary + aggressive commission structure with no cap. Strong closers will earn multiples of base.
