6-8 Media Arts Teacher (Bogotá)

Reporting to the HoLMS/Director, the Media Arts Teacher for Digital Content Creation is responsible for designing and delivering an engaging, project-based curriculum for students in grades 6 through 8. This role guides students in exploring the dynamic world of media arts through short-form video production, photography, and graphic design, while fostering critical media literacy and creative expression using industry-relevant digital tools.

Job Responsibilities

The primary responsibility will be to plan, instruct, and assess a project-based Media Arts course for 6th through 8th-grade students, integrating the following:

- Design and deliver lessons in short‑form video creation, photography, and graphic design using WeVideo, Canva, and Adobe Lightroom.
- Guide students through the full creative process from concept development and storyboarding to final production and presentation.
- Teach principles of storytelling, visual composition, and design thinking as applied to digital media.
- Develop and maintain a structured project-based curriculum aligned with school-wide learning outcomes and media arts standards.
- Foster media literacy by helping students critically analyze and interpret today’s media landscape.
