Role Description/PurposeThe Bogotá Teaching Centre delivers a wide range of English language courses to adults and young learners.
Teaching takes place at our main centre in Bogotá, in partner institutions across the city, and in a variety of public and private institutions.
We aim to expand our reach into new areas of the city through partnerships, offering programmes for learners of all age groups.
In addition to teaching, the British Council delivers a diverse UK examinations portfolio across Colombia, including IELTS, Aptis, and other private language examinations.Role AccountabilitiesWe are seeking passionate and dedicated teachers to support our global English strategy.
In this role you will:Deliver high‐quality English language teaching tailored to diverse learning needs and styles.Monitored student progress, provide regular feedback, and promote learner autonomy to enhance development.Integrate technology into lessons where needed and manage administrative responsibilities efficiently.Build meaningful relationships that enrich students' understanding of contemporary UK culture.Collaborate with colleagues, provide class cover, and engage in professional development to uphold best practices.Support marketing initiatives, contribute to excellent customer service, and uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, and health and safety standards.Qualifications & ExperienceEssentialsUndergraduate or University degree.Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) certification from Trinity College.Minimum of 2 years post‐certificate experience teaching a variety of age groups and levels from young learners through to adults.Experience teaching two or more of the following age groups:Very young learners
