Job Description Summary Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal‑directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing nursing process principles; delivers safe and effective care and works with other health care team members to achieve desired results. Entity Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) Worker Type & Sub-Type Employee – PRN Schedule Hourly, 12 hour shifts, 7P‑7A or 7A‑7P, 24–48 hours per 6‑week cycle (12 hours weekly on average). - Licensed registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers or equivalent.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for most nursing areas within the hospital. Physical and Mental Requirements Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, and climbing stairs; work in confined/cramped spaces; lift and carry 50 lb. unassisted; perform repetitive motions with hands; work rotating shifts; work overnight; maintain 20/40 vision and hearing; manage stress; work in latex‑safe environment; respirator use for selected positions.
