- December 24, 2025- Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Windows Desktop Engineer with PowerBASICfor a full-time position (40 hours per week) in the USA, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Costa Rica. Our client is a comprehensive tax filing software that offers a wide range of features.

- REQUIREMENTS:- Understanding of large, monolithic codebases.
- Expertise in debugging and analytics.
- Ability to learn and work effectively in older systems that may lack modern tooling or documentation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with distributed teams.- RESPONSIBILITIES:- Work inside a long-standing monolithic codebase where stability, correctness, and performance are essential.
- Debug and resolve complex issues in legacy code with limited modern abstractions.
- Collaborate with product managers and fellow engineers to deliver features tied to real customer and revenue impact.
- Safely evolve existing tax logic while ensuring compliance and system integrity.
- Contribute to code reviews and technical discussions focused on precision and risk management rather than wholesale rewrites.Support ongoing feature delivery in an environment where modernization is intentionally limited.- NICE TO HAVE:- Experience with tax software, tax preparation processes, financial systems, or other regulated domains.
