QA Engineer - SQL (Manizales)

**ABOUT THE TEAM**: RealPage is a leading general provider of software and data analytics for the real estate industry. The Asset & Investment Management team makes software for real estate companies to collect and report on their operational data, our team is responsible for the Quality Assurance.

**SUMMARY**

The QE Engineer II Understands and applies quality methods and practices to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality projects

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Work closely with product owners, engineers, and team members to identify areas and methods to help improve testing efficiency, expand coverage, and increase product reliability
- Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software
- Perform setup and administration of tools used by the testing team
- Collaborate with other team members to resolve any issues or defects
- Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.
- Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
- Coordinate with business in understanding reported issues, requirements, and expected behavior
- Scope of assignments may cover a broad range and complexity of technologies
- Continual learning of quality best practices and technologies
- May help coordinate technical dependencies with other teams
- Provides estimates for own deliverables
- Design and implements test strategy for projects and provide estimates for new test projectsIII, IV
- Builds an internal and external network to leverage best practices and technologies
- Mentors others on quality methods and techniques
- Coordinates technical dependencies with other teams
- Participates in the definition of project objectives
- Provides LOEs and schedule needs for proposed objectives **REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES**:

- Bachelor or Master degree in computer science or a related technical field
- 3 to 4 years in Data Quality Assurance.
- Good understanding of exploratory testing practices
- Solid understanding of Agile development
- Strong SQL skills (SQL Server preferred)
- Knowledge and experience testing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) or database stored procedures.
- Understanding of Data Governance and Data Modeling is a plus
- Exposure to testing data for data marts, data warehouses, data integration solutions and Data Analysis tools (Tabular models and Power BI are desirable).
- Solid experience writing Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Scripts and Test Summary reports.
- Proven experience understanding automation framework requirements and h
