Software Engineer Specialist (Medellín)

The Retail Risk Analytics Engineering (RRAE) team partners with General Risk Management (GRM), Regulatory Capital, IFRS9 Provisioning, and Enterprise Stress Testing teams to deliver regulatory and non-regulatory initiatives. We are seeking a Software Engineer Specialist to contribute in development efforts in a fast-paced environment. You will design and implement solutions for multiple business lines, ensuring high-qualityเข้ scalable, and maintainable code. Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to several Cloud Migration Projects, leveraging Cloud Function, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub.
- Participate in Application Architecture Design and be fluent in architecture submission process.
- Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
- Drive architecture and design discussions; provide hands‑on development.
- Optimize code, conduct reviews, and enforce quality standards.
- Create documentation, flowcharts, and architectural diagrams.
- Support planning, estimation, and scheduling of tasks.
- Assist with month‑end and quarter‑end reporting processes.

Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with a problem‑solving mindset.
- 3+ years of Python experience; familiarity with software libraries and components.
- Commitment to thorough documentation and collaborative teamwork.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud‑native technologies (Google Cloud Functions, BigQuery, DataFlow, DataProc, Pub/Sub).
- Familiarity with real time ETL processes and Multiprocessing.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Workplace
- Hybrid model: primarily remote with mandatory in‑office collaboration 8 times monthly (Bogota) with home‑office outside Bogota.
