We are committed to providing our staff the training, knowledge, and tools needed to succeed in the field while delivering excellent service to our clients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend annual regional AmeriSpec conferences
- Experience in Remediation, Water Damage, Trades, and/or an allied craft
- Experience in writing protocols
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Willingness to maintain records and communicate with the Marketing Manager and Office Manager about job tasks
- Willingness to perform onsite educational seminars for real estate agents and other local professionals
- Willingness to comply with the State of Texas and governing agencies for licenses held
- Willingness to comply with State of Louisiana Home Inspector Laws & Regulations and obtain licensing in that state
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Assist in marketing efforts as directed by a Marketing Representative
- Possess good communication skills and good computer skills
- Develop and maintain alliances with area real estate agents
- Work closely with Owner and/or Senior Inspectors to learn the essentials of Commercial & Home Inspections along with Mold Assessments and Protocols
- Independently perform home inspections from start to finish Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with little to no supervision. - Bachelor's Degree from a four‑year college or technical school; or
- Six months to one year experience as an AmeriSpec Associate Inspector; or
- Completion of state requirements by an approved TREC provider; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills
- Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs. Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Must be TREC licensed and willing to be licensed in the State of Louisiana
- Must comply with applicable state licensure requirements and continuing education
- Must be willing to receive ongoing training and licensing for our ancillary services Other Skills and Abilities

- Position requires extended periods of travel to job locations and continuing education sites.
- Inspectors must maintain cleanliness of personal vehicles at all times; fuel expenses will be reimbursed.
