Packaging Machine Operatorst Shift (Soledad-VAP)

Title: PMO II
- 1st Shift Salary Range: $24.47 Hourly Status: Non-Exempt Days/Shifts: 1st Shift Location: Soledad, CA Reports to: Production Supervisor General Description / Primary Purpose Under the direction of the Production Supervisor and PMO Lead, this position is responsible to operate all Hayssen and Triangle packaging equipment in a safe and responsible manner following the Packaging Machine Operator SOP. Major Responsibilities and Tasks / Duties of the Position
- all Hayssen and Triangle packaging equipment
- Able to work around machinery and equipment
- Perform forming tube changeovers (7",8",9",10", 2lbs,3lbs,and 5lbs)
- Ability to operate Yamato and Ishida scales
- Maintain the area clean
- Requires extensive problem solving skills
- Paperwork duties
- Must be capable of performing quality checks, product changeover, re-supplying of film.
- Employees must adhere to all policies, practices, and SOP’s related to producing Safe Quality Food (SQF)
- Comply with Food Safety Requirements and GMPs as applicable to this position.
- Comply with other duties as assigned by Lead or Superviso r. Job Specific Competencies
- Experienced Packaging Machine Operator-Level 3. Able to work in a fast pace production environment. Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in a cold environment with an average temperature of 34 degrees F. Concentrated chlorine and concealed ammonia is present. Work surfaces and floors may be wet. Employees are required to wear approved shoes and protective equipment. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and 20 lbs. overhead as job demands. Constant standing on a concrete floor, reaching, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand movements may be required. Moving machinery, including conveyor and forklifts are in operation in the immediate area. Work Hour & Travel Requirements
