Software Architech Role (Santa Fé de Antioquia)

We are seeking a Software Architect, with deep technical experience in web and mobile application development, cloud platforms, and modern DevOps practices. This person strives to be a technical leader for other engineers, designs complex systems and architectures, and dives deep into emerging technologies. The successful candidate must be able to design and build ever-evolving software systems based on changing needs. The Software Architect is a deep technical expert, works hands-on with code, speaks with authority at every level of the software stack, and communicates effectively with engineers and non-technical stakeholders. The ability to take charge and lead from the minute a project kicks off is a must. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. The successful candidate will be expected to work fully remote for our Philadelphia office.
- Own technical system design and architecture
- Design, evolve, and document scalable, secure, and maintainable systems
- Lead architectural decision-making, including tradeoff analysis for scalability, performance, cost, and delivery timelines
- Ensure engineering standards and quality across all projects
- Develop functional and complete software products for multiple web and mobile platforms
- Provide architectural guidance across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and integrations
- Work hands-on with code when needed to validate designs or unblock teams
- Serve as a source of knowledge for customer requirements
- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders
- Mentor engineering peers for career growth and project success Job Qualifications
- Background in Software Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 15 years of professional software development experience
- Demonstrated fluency across full-stack web and mobile technologies
- Expertise in languages, frameworks, and tools such as Ruby/Rails, C#/.NET, Angular, React, and React Native
- Experience with native mobile development is a plus
- Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and logging
- Familiarity with architectural tools and practices such as system diagrams, ADRs, API standards, and security considerations
- Working knowledge of development tools, compilers, source control, debuggers, and build systems
- Mastery of architectural patterns and system design methods
- Proven progression from individual contributor to technical leader or architect, with increasing scope of responsibility
- Strong systems-level thinking and experience coordinating across teams
- Excellent communicator and confident technical leader
- Ability to evaluate options and make sound decisions in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
